Why am I still up?

It is time to go to bed and I am just checking my bloglines account after fixing the link to my survey. I have done enough today. Why am I still online? I am usually not this addicted to the computer.

Is anyone else having this phenomena happen to them too?

How do you use your library

After setting up the one poll, I finally figured out how to set up and post a survey. That was tricky as it saved as a draft, so I had to rewrite the post. And then the link did not work. Please take pity on a poor librarian and try this out! It is only 5 questions long.

Feedback Thingies

Well, our library in Verona has a lot of computer users. If we had a library blog, I think that a lot of our patrons would be happy with us, as our library homepage is not so user-friendly. We would be able to receive "anonymous" feedback on changes we implement (we will be changing to prepaying for printing starting the 15th) and on any programming we do. We may receive comments on our library as a space and find out what people want in our library that they may be too shy to say in person.
In person, I have heard very few negative comments on our newly built library as a space... Our outside bookdrop.
Many of our patrons use the self-check machines to check out materials. I think that they would embrace blogs and sending us online feedback.

RSS feeds

Okay, I think that you really have to keep up on the feeds if you sign up for newspaper feeds! I think that I will have to change to more lib feeds and less newspaper feeds. But the info is good-- I like being up to date.

RSS feeds and Project Play

So I started this blog for Project Play. It has been informative so far. I have not tried to add a RSS feed to this blog, but so far using bloglines to read feeds has been easy. I had tried bloglines once before and kind of forgot about it, but logging in to learn in this class will get me into the habit. To keep up to date will keep me informed. As a librarian should. And, all in one spot.

But, alas, I do love to read fiction. This will be good for me. I do like to learn new things. And no newsprint to get all over my fingers!
