Well, our library in Verona has a lot of computer users. If we had a library blog, I think that a lot of our patrons would be happy with us, as our library homepage is not so user-friendly. We would be able to receive "anonymous" feedback on changes we implement (we will be changing to prepaying for printing starting the 15th) and on any programming we do. We may receive comments on our library as a space and find out what people want in our library that they may be too shy to say in person.
In person, I have heard very few negative comments on our newly built library as a space... Our outside bookdrop.
Many of our patrons use the self-check machines to check out materials. I think that they would embrace blogs and sending us online feedback.

Hi sskLibrarian,
I voted in your poll - cool use of a blog tool!
I also enjoyed reading your thoughts on how your library would use "feedback thingies" and I hope that Project Play inspires you and your library to incorporate some of these tools into your everyday work.
I'll be interested to hear your patron's response to print management on your computers!
Keep on playing!

All right. Let's think about what we could do to improve our website. Hmmm.
1. Have it easier to locate. (I would never think to look under city departments for the library
2. Have it quicker to load. I have a really old and slow computer at home and the page takes forever to load!
3. Be able to quickly have information updated.
4. Be able to have a place easily available for patrons to leave feedback.
5. Be able to have book discussions online via a blog.
6. Be able to post the new books easily and quickly.
That's a start. Hmmm. What else do we have?

Our poor library website . . .it's hard to get excited about all this new web technology when there is so little hope of implementing anything on our current website, Ee are lucky to even have our hours posted online.
